Robotics Simulation Sprint

Simulation & offline programming

Validate the cell in simulation before the steel is cut. A fixed-scope, fixed-price engineering sprint for one agreed robotic application — so integrators and manufacturers get specialist simulation and offline-programming capacity without a permanent hire.

01 / WHO

Who it’s for

  • Integrators with more quotes and projects than simulation hours
  • Manufacturers planning a new cell, a product changeover or a layout change
  • Machining and finishing users who need robot paths generated from CAD
02 / INCLUDED

What’s included

Work packages are selected in the Statement of Work (SoW), not bundled automatically.

  • Cell model and layout validation: reach, interference, guard and fence positions
  • Cycle-time study: bottlenecks named, options to remove them
  • Offline programs for ABB (RAPID) or KUKA (KRL); Robotmaster for machining and trimming paths
  • Safety-zone concept checked in simulation (e.g. ABB SafeMove), for your safety engineer to validate
  • Mid-sprint review with a milestone demonstration
  • One remote handover session
03 / DELIVERABLES

What you receive

  • Agreed native station files
  • Offline programs, delivered ready for on-site touch-up
  • Cycle-time results — simulated cycle times are estimates, not production guarantees
  • Assumptions and open-constraints log
  • Safety-zone concept for your safety engineer to validate, when that package is in the SoW
04 / PROCESS

How it runs

  1. Scoping call → SoW with fixed price, deliverables and acceptance tests
  2. Data check — the sprint clock starts when inputs are complete and the deposit is received
  3. Mid-sprint review: layout frozen, milestone demonstration
  4. Delivery and remote handover session
  5. Acceptance against the SoW tests, within a 10-working-day review window
05 / TIMELINE

How long it takes

  • Sprint: 2–4 weeks from complete inputs and deposit
  • Mid-sprint review: layout frozen; second payment milestone
  • Acceptance: 10-working-day review window after delivery
  • Capacity: one principal sprint at a time
06 / OUT OF SCOPE

Not included unless added in writing

  • On-site touch-up and commissioning (optional, quoted per day)
  • PLC / HMI development and vision integration
  • Turnkey multi-robot line design
  • Safety sign-off, CE / UKCA marking, production-rate guarantees
  • Fault-finding or repair of drives, power supplies or controller hardware
  • Revision loops beyond the SoW

Programs are delivered ready for on-site touch-up. A clear simulation is not a safe physical cell: the first run on the real cell, at reduced speed, is the client’s responsibility unless the on-site option is contracted. Tools: ABB RobotStudio, KUKA.Sim, Robotmaster — software seats and licence access are agreed in the SoW.
